Applicant must present a valid U S photo identification* containing applicant’s name and a piece of mail showing their name with their Moore County address which has been postmarked by the U S Postal Service within the last 30 days and complete an application. Residents and property owners of Moore County are issued cards free of charge. Non-Residents of Moore County will be charged a onetime $10.00 fee for a card. Replacement cards are $2.00. New library patrons will only be allowed to checkout four (4) items total for the first six (6) months. After the six (6) months, the patron’s account will be changed so the patron has all the same privileges as an established patron. An established patron will be allowed to checkout twelve (12) books, six (6) audiobooks and four (4) DVDS or BLURAYS. We ask that you only take two (2) books items of any series or subject at a time to allow others access to the same series or subject.
Non-permanent, temporary out-of-state residents residing in Moore County must present a valid U S photo identification* containing applicant’s name and their permanent home address and a piece of mail showing their name with their current Moore County address which has been postmarked by the U S Postal Service within the last 30 days and complete an application. Non-permanent, temporary out-of-state residents residing in Moore County will be charged a onetime $10.00 fee for a card. Replacement cards are $2.00. Non-permanent, temporary out-of-state residents will only be allowed to checkout four (4) items total. Residents of the State of Texas, who do not live within the Harrington Library Consortium service area may checkout items by presenting a valid U S photo identification* and a valid TexShare card from their home library.
Residents living within the Harrington Library Consortium service area are encouraged to obtain a card at their home library, which can be used at all Harrington Library Consortium libraries. An applicant that has fines, fees, or other charges on their account at any Harrington Library Consortium library will NOT be issued a Moore County Library System card until their account is clear according to the library involved.
Patrons are responsible for the items checked out on their card and all fines incurred. Your library card can only be used by you. Patrons with fines are blocked from borrowing.
*Forms of valid U S photo identification are Driver’s License issued from any U S State, Federal or State Identification cards, Military card, Passport issued by the U S.
